Anything can happen!

Len belongs to Crypton. You belong to you.

The moment was ruined, and you'd be left wondering what he was about to say for a while yet.

-- Timeskip, mid-summer break --

Time had really flown over the school year. You and Len were becoming great friends, with constant sleepovers awkward moments and the likes. He would drop complements here or there when he was talking to you, which never failed to make you blush. He and the other Vocaloids soon became your best friends, even the rather jealous Akita was beginning to accept your presence. You would go to their place after school every Friday, and you'd all go out on the town or hit the movie theatre, then go out for ice cream upon Kaito's insistence. The days were rather peaceful, although you still pondered what Len had wanted to tell you that one cold winter's day. You hadn't really had a moment where you two were completely and utterly alone to ask him, thanks to Rin and her little brigade.

You were heading to the grocery store to pick up some Pocky, ice cream, and really, just whatever treats that you fancied getting. After all, it was Summer so you'd been eating whatever you wanted. Your policy was to eat whatever you felt like, whenever you wanted in the Summer, and try to stick to eating all three meals with minimal snacking during the school year. It wasn't that you were watching your weight, but this time of year, you were more focused on your computer and hanging out with friends and often skipped lunch out of the sheer fact that you easily lost track of time. You could see the store in the distance and picked up the pace of your walking, thinking that it was good, at least, for you to get some sort of exercise every few days or so. You felt your phone buzz, and took it out as you walked to check it.

"Hey, (Your name)! You want to come over and swim later? Miku, Rin, Gumi, and the rest left me here to go to some sort of shoe convention."

It was from Len. He wanted you to go swimming with him. Plus, you'd get some alone time with sir hotness who'd officially stolen your heart. I mean, how could he not? With his longer, golden wavy locks, and those eccentric, energetic blue eyes that seemed to sparkle just for you. Well, you'd like to think it was for you. You doubted someone who could literally have anyone he wanted, would ever like you in that way. I mean, you were dorky, uninteresting, and definitely not as smart as he deserved. Not to mention, you doubted that he'd want someone who you thought definitely wasn't pretty enough for him either. He was a good friend, nonetheless, but you didn't want to tarnish what you both had in an attempt of something more. However, you didn't want to let him think you were going to say no, you typed a quick "Yes, that'd be lovely! I'm out right now, how about I meet you at your place when I get back?" and shut your phone, pocketing it.

While you were off in your own little world, wondering how Len would look with his shirt off and / or drenched in glistening cold water, laughing that signature cute laugh, you bumped into what seemed like the ringleader of a small group of boys about your age. There were roughly five of them, you couldn't tell how many as you were busy profusely apologizing to the one you'd bumped into. "Yo, pansy chick, watch where you put those measly little feet and shut the fuck up before I do it for ya, got it!?" You stepped back, shocked and a bit scared of this rather intimidating boy. "S-Sorry--" You started to apologize again before he swiftly punched you in the side and kicked you behind your knee, forcing you to the ground and walking off with his goons, leaving you sitting on the pavement in pain. He'd punched you in your gut and you could feel bruises forming there and on your leg. To top it all off, you'd even gotten small scratches from the pavement. You took a moment, gathering your strength and biting your lip to hold back the tears that were making their way to your eyes as you stood, your knee feeling like it would give out any moment. You decided that you'd probably not make it to the store in your condition, or at least, not comfortably. You turned, heading home with a slight limp in your step.

When you arrived at your house, you saw Len there, waiting. He'd apparently texted you back that he would meet you when you got home, but you hadn't bothered to check. You tried to cover up your limp as best you could, although it caused a jolt of pain to course through you with every step as you walked on it normally. "H-hey Len, c-come on in!" You stuttered, biting your lip hard to avoid giving in to the pain. He noticed this and walked next to you, entering as you opened the door. "(Y-Your name)--? You alright?" He asked, and you could sense the genuine concern in his voice. You nodded, although it pained you to lie to him. You didn't want him to get upset or anything, he'd told you to try and avoid trouble. It's not like you looked for trouble either way! "I-I'm fine… here, come on up to my room, please! I'll gr-grab a swim suit and we'll head over, okay?" You offered, and he nodded. You both headed up to your room, where you rooted through your drawers. You settled on a simple blue and turquoise swimsuit, with a few minimal designs on it. You packed a bag with a towel and goggles, along with the suit and an extra set of clothes. You hoped to cover up the larger of the bruises, although the one on your knee wasn't going to be covered very well. You could only hope he didn't notice.

You both finally arrived at his home, where he told you to put your bag anywhere. You went to change, returning in the rather flattering suit. You could've sworn that Len blushed slightly, although you doubted that he actually was. He grinned at you. "Ready?" He asked, and you nodded. He was already in his trunks and a simple, cotton yellow t-shirt. He lead you to the pool, and you tried not to take a double-take. It was huge, with slides and a cave, along with that looked like a small combination of a lazy river and a hot tub off to the side. "L-Len, this is amazing--!" You complimented, grinning too. He nodded, chuckling slightly and was about to remove his shirt before realizing he needed to grab a few towels and some other things. "I-I'll be right back, (Your name)!" He said, and you nodded, watching him scamper off.

He didn't take long at all, returning with any possible items to be desired. Hell, he even brought a few waterproof speakers with him too, in case you wanted to listen to music. He approached you from behind, and on his way up, noticed the rather decently sized bruise on your leg. He placed the items he'd brought on top of the cooler, going around to your front and taking you by the shoulders. "(Your name), I'm no fool. You've been limping since the second you got here and now I see a bruise on your leg. What happened?" He asked, bending slightly to look you straight in the eyes. You tried to avert your gaze, but he commanded your attention, and moved so that he was holding your face in both his hands. You sighed softly and shook your head, removing his hands. "F-Fine… I bumped into someone and they g-got mad, that's all… Let's just have some fun, okay?" You asked, not wanting to trouble him. He sighed and nodded. "Fine then, but… be careful next time, okay? I've found that people around here aren't always as kind and lovely as you, (Your name)." Ah, there he went with the complements. You blushed, agreeing with a quiet "O-okay, Len, whatever you s-say…" He grinned at this, and stepped away, hurriedly removing his shirt and jumping into the pool, promptly bellyflopping into it. You winced, as it looked like it hurt. He emerged, shaking his head to free his face from his hair. He may not have realized it, but god damn it he looked amazingly sexy, especially shirtless. Oh god, especially when he was shirtless. Your blush deepened as you slipped in, joining him in the rather cooling and relaxing water. It was at a perfect temperature, not too hot and not too cold. He snickered, seeing you were being careful in your approach. "(Your name), c'mon, I'll race you to the deeper end!" He grinned, heading off. Oh, the way his muscles rippled in the water, and that chest, oh god. He was absolutely perfect, no doubt about it. Both physically and emotionally amazing. "W-Wait up!" You called, heading after him with a slight giggle.
Hey guys, here's the next one! I made it extra long, so hopefully you enjoyed it!~ <33
